Focused on serving his community and elevating the visibility of our diverse industry, Dereck has also served as Secretary and Treasurer of the Audio Engineering Society, as a member of the Recording Academy Advocacy Group, and GRAMMYU mentor. Since 2018 he has run a mentorship program through his studio to help folks navigate a career in the audio and music industry.

Dereck Blackburn is a skilled record producer, mix engineer, musician, and songwriter with a career spanning over 20 years. His work has gained recognition in the industry, earning him nominations for Producer and Studio Engineer of the Year.
